Making Data Visualizations - Reflection

After making many visualizations, my favorite visualization was comparing the average ratings of men and women for each movie. At first I thought that whatever visualization had the most information would be the best, but I quickly learned that too much data can conceal important trends. This chart shown below is a column chart with no stacking that combines ranges horizontally. This visualization was my favorite because it shows that women usually rated higher than men, but it also shows clearly what the ratings of men and women were for each move. You can also clearly see which movie was the highest rated and the fact that the columns are not stacked makes this easier. The clear relationship between ratings of men and women makes this chart my favorite.
